Areas of Expertise

Story Work, Etc.

Also known as narrative focused trauma therapy, story work is a framework developed by the Allender Center in Seattle. I am trained in helping clients to write and process their past experiences in order to heal from traumatic events as well as unhealthy relational patterns that may have developed because of them.

Because therapy isn't one size fits all, I also incorporate frameworks like Internal Family Systems, Attachment Theory, and Interpersonal approaches to find an eclectic, but effective way forward for my clients.

Emotional Abuse

Therapy can provide crucial support for individuals in emotionally abusive relationships by offering a safe space to explore their feelings and experiences. I help my clients identify patterns of abuse and empower them to develop coping strategies, enhance self-esteem, and gain clarity about their situation, ultimately leading to establishing boundaries and making informed decisions about their relationship. This process helps clients reclaim their sense of self and move towards healthier, more fulfilling connections.

Parenting Neurodivergent
Kids and Teens

As our understanding of neurodivergence grows (autism, ADHD, OCD, PDA) so does our need to understand how to parent kids and teens with these unique neurotypes. As a late-diagnosed ADHD woman and parent to a neurodivergent teen I have seen and experienced many sides of this issue. As a therapist I have had to learn how to handle the many challenges and blessings of neurodivergence through extensive research on my own. I offer a generalist view and launching point if you need help navigating this new world through coaching sessions. I also offer ongoing support through therapy sessions as you navigate the ups and downs of parenting and what it may bring up in your own story.

Clinical Supervision

I am certified to provide clinical supervision for LPC's who are seeking licensure.

I also provide consultation and supervision for fully licensed clinicians who may be seeking further support.

More about me
and my approach

I thrive on variety and novelty. Who I am as a therapist is rooted in a wide variety of both life and academic experiences. I lived overseas for 8 years, learning the joys and complexities of life in another culture and language. I love the outdoors - from mountain climbing to biking to obsessively landscaping my yard. And I find that therapy is another kind of adventure, with twists and turns and new discoveries that are always worth pursuing.
